Allow the quick-emote reactions and chat highlights to be toggle-able.
Ever since the new update it's been difficult to really use Discord on the PC, since it seems a complete overhaul has been done on the interface. And I don't think this change is for the better.
The lack of those dividers that helped in actually reading people's messages are gone, which really throws me off, along with the new "NEW" message tag that they made really tiny to the right of the screen, it's honestly really difficult to see on a 1080p monitor.
Also, would just like to mention that not everyone uses emojis, these quick emote buttons should be a toggle-able feature similar to how the auto-emoji feature is toggle-able

And the chat highlight, that darkens any message that you hover over is really annoying.
Honestly, altogether, the whole new interface seems claustrophobic compared to the old design.
I enjoy most of the updates the Discord team puts out but altering the entire chat interface when honestly there was nothing to fix, is just annoying and something that really isn't needed when there was nothing wrong with the initial design. I ask the Discord team to either revert this change, or allow the new look to be toggle-able.

This update is fantastic for contrast, but not baked properly, so I'd be sad to see it all gone forever. As suggested, an option would be a good compromise, though that might make things more difficult for UI designers in the future because they have to keep more possibilities in mind.
