Issues with the new UI and the lack of an update explaining what was happening

The new UI has a lot of issues in general. It has lost a lot of the intuitiveness it had. Text is now generally closer together creating more run on sentences/paragraphs, everything in Cozy mode just looks so squished now. The DateTime portion now wraps to the next line in the case of people with long names (I use discord at about half my screen width). The New line just moves the text to the side which doesn't help with readability (was much easier to see when it was in the center.

The real biggest issue I have with this is the entire LACK of any sort of update about it. No messages. No popup when starting the application. You are hearing a lot of feedback right now from people that the new UI changes are bad. How was this not added as a new UI mode and given to people to try out to get initial feedback on first? You do that with so many other things, but you have dropped the ball on it this time.
