The new UI update is not even friendly to the eyes.
The new UI chats looks clamped together, there is this big lack of space between everybody messages. This highlight thing is extremely annoying and distasteful and having the big reaction emojis popping up is unnecessary.
I had to make the font bigger to make it bearable. Give us settings to turn this things off, please.

One of my friends on discord has said that trying to use this new UI is actually making them feel physically ill. This is a massive issue.

Hi I'm the friend,
A lot of websites are already hard for me to use cause of my SPD, and currently, I LITERALLY CAN'T USE DISCORD RIGHT NOW. IT GIVES ME A HEADACHE AND MAKES ME PHYSICALLY ILL. THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR ME TO USE AND I'M CURRENTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF A MELTDOWN THAT I CAN'T GO TO MY FRIENDS FOR GUIDANCE ON, BECAUSE I CAN ONLY CONTACT THEM THROUGH DISCORD.
PLEASE PLEASE discord, add a toggle option or roll-back even TEMPORARILY because I'm literally on the verge of vomiting while trying to use the site. A website should not be physically unsafe for me to use in design, literally ever. This is horrible.

Hi, just letting you know that you are not alone
I had a full blown panic attack trying to use the new UI. It felt so claustrophobic, the spacing was just off to me, I started hyperventilating.
My recommendation is either use Mobile or Compact mode for now. Mobile doesn't have the UI changes and while Compact sucks, I can at least use it without feeling like the walls are closing in when they're all five feet away.
Besides that, all we can really do is hope and pray Discord pulls their heads out of their butts
