(Another) UI Complaint

As I have seen… literally everywhere, the UI isn't very popular right now. It's an eyesore and crammy, and overly complex, and- well, I could go on.

As someone with a major anxiety disorder, I've always preferred discord over any other chatting app purely because of its simplicity. Now, not so much. (That's a personal addition, but I believe there should be options to revert to old versions of discord for user preference.) I'm all for changes and updates--but only when it's necessary or actually fulfilling a positive response, this does not seem to be doing it.

Everything is cluttered, and seeing the three "easy reacts" on every message my cursor hovers over is stressful and quite redundant in itself. Finding those reactions takes no more than 5 seconds (usually less but I'll be generous for comparison's sake). The menu to pin messages, delete, etc. is also way too large for what use it has, and it expands pass my cursor/where I clicked to make it pop up. It's pointless and uncomfortable to use.

The last thing that seems, well, stupid is how compact the messages are now. I always have cozy mode on; it's nice, easy on the eyes, doesn't make me feel squashed, and more importantly that is why it exists. To be spacious and easy. There is a compact version for a reason, so I don't see why Discord would squish the messages together in a version that is not supposed to be that way. I understand there is an option to make space between said messages in settings, but why? Why add it to the cozy version? Why not just add "visible profile pictures" to the compact version instead of contrasting against the definition and purpose of another option?

Truly makes no sense to me.

I agree with Cenric. The new cluttered chat is disastrous. If people wanted closer chat then they could use compact version. If some people thought it was too spaced out then the better solution will be to create a "cluttered" mode where people that like this format can choose.

After this update when chatting with friends it feels like I am reading a word wall of text. The leisure of hanging out in discord after studying is non-existent. What used to be a de-stressing place for me, now only makes it more stressful. If you haven't tried already, read a 800 page online text book word wall and see how your eyes feel. That is what it feels like on Discord right now.

This User Interface is leaps and heaps worse than the old discord interface. It truly makes no sense. Who the F*CK?! came up with this. Why did you think this was a good idea.

The reaction bar to the right is really stupid too. it's like you guys are encouraging spam reactions on msgs... but it's not severe enough to make me want to leave discord. The cluttered User Interface, however, just makes me want to right click "quit discord" every time I click the little controller icon on the lower right for some relaxation.

Please Fix the Cluttered messages and restore the previous user interface... Or at least offer the option to revert to the previous user interface.
