Something no one seems to be talking about
I, too, hate the new UI changes, but here's another problem that I haven't seen many people talk about:
The space between two separate posts from the same user has been changed back to being greater than the space between two lines in the same post again, as indicated in this pic.
You actually fixed this a few updates ago and now for some reason you broke it again. Why why WHY?
(And no, the new "space between message groups" setting does not change this.)
Seriously guys... I like your app, I use it daily, but if this terrible update has not been fixed or rolled-back by the end of the week, both me and my wife will be canceling our nitro subscriptions. I am not paying for this garbage.

I dislike the UI update as well, but this is my preference. Being able to denote the different messages is super cool, and when it changed, it pissed me off

dude I feel you, I literally can't use discord anymore. Ever since they spaced out certain text lines by 2 pixels, I just couldn't use Discord. It's literally unusable. I can't even talk to my friends when playing a game. Like c'mon Discord, I will actually end my subscription. Your app is utterly useless and broken because you spaced out text lines by 2 pixels. I can't believe I'm paying Nitro for this. Literally the worst this ever. Like with this new update, how am I suppose to talk to my friends???? Sign language???? NO! Getb rid of the 2 pixel space. Unbelievable am I right everyone? I recommend everyone ends there Nitro right now because of 2 pixels. Utter garbage.

@bunnystomped to be perfectly honest, I really don't care about anything.. biggest issue is the message highlighting. Moving my mouse and all that flashing makes me dizzy. I'm sure almost everyone will be happy with just an accessibility option to turn the highlighting off

I also picked up on this new spacing and to say the least I'm not a fan of it. There are many things in this update that made messages harder to read and focus on, this extra spacing being one of them. Although I do believe this is a minor issue compared to the reaction bar, message highlighting and ofc the removal of the message dividers.
I do to some extent agree with the people being angry at you for calling the app garbage. Threatening to cancel your nitro is just immature.
I've been paying for nitro since it got released years ago because I love the app and the work the devs put into it which is why I'm hoping they'll listen to the community regarding this update and at least make some, if not all of the changes, optional.

@SixtenArt I totally agree! Even though I currently cannot use the app because of the flashing messages while scrolling, what will me canceling my nitro do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I just hope they can add an accessibility option for the message highlights... I'm fine with everything else even though I dislike it, I just want to be able to use the app again, without getting dizzy while scrolling through messages.

Does this look visually appealing? No. Should this have slipped thru regression testing? Also no. Should you be throwing a conniption over a minor UI inconvenience? Definitely no. It's great you let the devs know this bug came back, but adding the cancel threat is beyond childish.

If you call it garbage, why wait the week. Just cancel your subscription now and let me and all the other people paying for nitro, as well as the new members to come pick up your slack and contribute to the rest of discord instead of ranting because 5 pixels were added to help you distinguish between messages.
Graphic designer and game developer in me would also add the space there myself to make it easier to tell messages apart.

also do know that there are actual bugs on the app and i highly doubt a majority of users even notice/care for this bug (im personally for this "bug")
anyways, there are more major bugs that need fixing than a mere pixel.

Lol I actually like this change, makes seeing the difference in messages easierthe only ui change I dislike is when you hover and that little bar with the Emojis n stuff comes about, besides that's it's great. Also @ggkthx, in my server people usually write 1-4 paragraphs per message so.

I would probably take this Feedback seriously but I'm not going to because the OP titled it "Something no one seems to be talking about" like this is a client breaking issue that needs to be talked about now.
Narcissism much?I like the spaces between each new message compared to a new line in the same message. It helps you easily tell that a new message was made.
Next time, make the title of your post about the issue, not a clickbait. And don't threaten cancel culture and your family's subscription over a non critical issue. That needs to stop because it makes you sound young.

Most people don't talk about this because it's stupid, who would care about a little bit of space between texts? Ask yourself does it really matter? People like you want everything to be perfect and are greedy as hell. You are probably the only one who would care about something dumb as that and also people without common sense.

The fact you went out of your way to type this and threaten to remove your nitro just proves how much of a non-issue this ui update is. It's literally the easiest thing to avoid whilst you're using discord. Drop your egotistical pedestal you've sat yourself on whilst making this post and look in the mirror whilst reading your feedback out loud.
Even if it were *slightly* irritating (which it really isn't) I wouldn't cancel my subscription over it. You'll be replaced by 10 more people by the time you unsub. I recommend permanently disabling your account instead of unsubscribing, and moving over to skype to talk to your wife... or - get this - in real life, talk to your wife.

I actually like this change. I use it when I want people to know it's multiple texts. If you're really quitting Nitro for something as trivial as this, you should really get your priorities straight.

My only question is who would go out of their way to look at a slight pixel difference and call it garbage and a problem? This is one of the most petty complaints I've seen about discord.

I'm gonna say this again... For me this update is a big issue, because for some reason I start to feel dizzy from the flashing messages when I scroll. I don't really care about the UI. But if they don't add an accessibility option to disable highlighting, I cannot use the app without physical discomfort.

I genuinely like the update, aside from the few flaws that always come with new things. I'm sure discord will push fixes within the next few weeks regarding a few of the issues stated in previous comments.

^^ That's a valid reason. And I don't see a reason why they can't make an option to disable highlighting, as well as an option for the space or no space.

@Karuby Envy as I said multiple times now, for some people it's not just the bad looks, it's actually physical conditions that prevent us from using it. Like o said I get dizzy from the flashing messages. Other people have reported that too.
