How is it acceptable that the Gaming chat that advertises as fast and low on memory uses that much resources ? 

It takes almost half an gigabyte of ram and constantly CPU.

If you compare to Teamspeak or mumble which uses barley 50 MB ram and <0.5% if the cpu. 
Discord really become bloat on the system and feels sluggish on an Ryzen 3700x
