I dread the new UI

I haven't even been hit by it (luckily) but the nightmares I've seen so far of my friends who do have it make me dread it.

As someone who very quickly has their attention drawn to things, the new "new messages" badge is awful. It's bright, draws your attention to the far right away from the messages, and is all in all just too big.

The floating emoji box is the worst thing created and clutters the message box. I already dislike the gigantic GIF and gift box icons on the chat bar, but now its even worse.

Apparently the 1px message divider is also gone- Whose idea was that??

Messages supposedly darken on hover- even more distracting.

Everything in this new UI update seems to have been made with the intention to fully distract you from actually chatting- In fact this change made me realize the biggest issue with discord! The inability to turn off auto-updates! Whoever thought to approve of these changes clearly hasn't actually been using the app.

i honestly want to use the gift feature less due to having to suffer it's massive icon in my text box all the time. i'm committed to never using this feature unless it can be toggled off or is removed completely.

same with the massive gif icon. horrible ui ux. these bad decisions which are forced with no way to disable them make being a Nitro member challenging. i feel like i'm paying Discord to make the product i want to support worse and worse as time goes on.

you guys had it right near the beginning. that's why you were so successful. please pump the breaks and start making some good choices again
