Add the option to delete friend's messages

It should be an option to delete messages you receive from other people. It doesn't have to show up on their end, but if someone sends something and I don't want to see it any longer, I'd like to delete what they send without asking them to. Thanks!

  I completely agree. It can be quite uncomfortable to receive a well-intended message from a friend that comes across as awkward when others in your household can read that message. I've found myself in a situation where I'd like to delete an incoming message without notifying the other party, just to clean up my conversation with that person and to prevent an awkward situation with those around me.

  One practical example is where someone becomes flirtatious where you do not wish to or cannot reciprocate, make this clear to them, but also don't want to make anyone around you (or yourself) feel uncomfortable about it. Another example is where something personal was shared, like some link or some text, which was meant for single use and should not be kept. There are plenty of other examples too.
  
  This is about others who send chat messages TO ME, not the other way around.
  Viber has this option. Why doesn't Discord?
