The New Chat UI is not pleasant to look at and it a significant downgrade

The old ui was the right mix of compact and accessible and everything was clear on how it functioned - everything took as much space as needed while still being exceptionally clear. The new chat menu options are simply too bulky and the quickfire emote reacts are extraneous. Please at least give users to option to revert the ui because this is a visual sore.

 

Also the new messages line literally breaks the aesthetic of the client

    Very well said. The old UI was perfect, and I don't think anyone was complaining about it. This, however? This is a mess. We should definitely have the option to disable the settings- or at the very least, enable the things that they changed in the Appearances menu. I feel like Discord forgets about the Appearances menu half the time. The things like message dividers being removed should definitely be something you toggle on your own.
