    Agreed. This update is largely a regression and was unnecessary.

    - The bright "new message" line/pill when unfocused is distracting. This is an issue for us admins monitoring a public server while doing other things and having these bright indicators screaming for attention every few seconds.
    - The emoji suggestion popout obscures text whenever a message is hovered over. Not everybody runs with the client maximized
    - Message spacing in cozy is way too compact for what it was originally meant to be. Compact exists for a reason. If neither are suitable a new mode in between should be added

    It's one thing when a UI update improves the user experience, it's quite another when it has no purpose other than for the sake of change or regresses things that were never broken.
