please bring back the spacing between message groups in compact mode

time-based groups are now only indicated by the timestamp appearing at the beginning, leaving the message window a completely undifferentiated wall of text. it's very hard to read.

    This is a user-controlled setting in the appearance tab now:


    Selecting compact mode automatically drops it to 0px, but if you raise it to 16px you get this:

    It lacks the old horizontal bar between message groups, and that really messes with the readibility.

    In your screenshot, it's not so problematic because each person has a different nickname color - but when you're in a private message window and everything is white, it's really problematic.
