this new ui rly hurt the eyes
honestly they are such minor changes but for me without that little line separating the messages from each other i'm having a hard time reading my chats because they sort of just blend together after a while, and i'm sure that's not a universal issue but i know there have been some comments made about how the new UI is giving other people headaches - and i agree it hurts my eyes after a while
i understand what's trying to be done here and i know you guys work hard and i appreciate the effort but allowing an option at LEAST for those message dividers would be most helpful

Adding on, I really don't like that if you have the *gull* to even hover your mouse over a message for it to give you an overlay instead of having it appear silently on the right side. If you wanted all those features like the time of the posted message, it should always be there instead of only appearing when the message is highlighted. I don't see the point for the "recommended/recently used emoji" area either considering there's already one in the main emoji picker and it's much bigger.I know it's for convenience but to me it's just downright annoying. Discord, please either let us turn the lines back on, or remove them completely. As for the message overlay, I wish there was just a setting where you could change it back to the old one, but still keep the new one for people who like it.

To follow up on having the gall to hover over the message resulting in the emoji overlay, hovering over those messages is required if you want to scroll at all
