Deep link chat message links

I just discovered message links and I think they're awesome to go to a specific message in a different channel quickly.

The only thing that bothers me is the length of the link. So I tried to put the link into tiny.cc. It works, but the link then opens in the browser, after which Discord is opened in my browser, instead of deep linking back into the native Discord app.

Please make it possible to either:

- shorten message links (preferably with custom shortened urls so you can see beforehand what the message links to);

- have message links deeplink back into the native Discord app so I can keep using other services like tiny.cc to shorten my message links.

They can't because it works by ID. Just like a path to a folder on your computer.

Well of course they could, if they provided their own url shortener. It would just forward you to the longer url, which would in turn send you to the message in question.

The other way (probably easier) where a message link can be opened in the native app (e.g. the installed Discord program or app) instead of being opened in the web-based version of Discord, would probably be easier to implement, since they already support this for server invite links.
