Full screen client on second monitor is cropped on all edges.
Steps to Reproduce:
-Drag Discord client onto second monitor's display
-Move it to the top of the display to initiate Windows Snap Assist
-Allow client to take up the whole display
-Notice cropped edges
Expected Result:
Client should enter full screen mode normally. It behaves correctly on the primary display.
Actual Result:
Dragging client to the top of a second display to use Windows Snap Assist to get the client to full screen crops it.

glad to see im not the only one with this problem. I tried checking if it was due to my screen settings but every other program shows right and doesn't get it's edges cut off. I'm using 3840x2160 as primary monitor and 1920x1080 as a secondary and it behaves just as you said

Encountering the same issue. Unable to see unread indicators on servers on second monitor unless I manually resize the window. Primary monitor is 3840x2160 secondary is 1920x1080 - works as intended on primary monitor.

Exactly the issue I'm experiencing, the red unread indicators are completely unusable, probably the single largest issue caused by this5 -
Hey folks, sorry to necro but I think I found the solution to this issue. Had the very same thing going on with me due to having a bit of a funky GPU setup.
For me, I solved the issue by turning off Hardware Acceleration in the Appearance > Advanced menu
Spent a good few hours being frustrated by this problem myself, so hopefully it helps you solve it like it did me! Good luck folks.

It's not a necro reply, this is still an ongoing issue in:

Your proposed solution of disabling hardware acceleration did not resolve the issue for me, still have cropped edges preventing notifications from being visible.4 -
Glad to hear im not the only one experiencing this.
Still have the issue on the Build Number mentioned above.Hardware Acceleration didnt solve it for me.

Ah, looks like the proposed solution stopped working for me after a restart.
I do have a workaround, though it's a strange one. Dragging discord to the left side of the monitor to engage the snap assist as if it were intended to only use half the screen, then dragging the right side of the window over to the edge of the screen has been working for me.
I'm not entirely sure why this works rather than just using the maximize or the top screen snap, but it shows it may be an issue with how discord is calculating the size of the monitor itself, when trying to make the window the maximum possible size.
Hope that works for you folks, even if it's less convenient0 -
The hardware acceleration work around is currently working for me. I am using a 4k center monitor with 1080 displays on either side, and I was experiencing this exact issue with discord maximized on the side monitor.

Disabling hardware acceleration has not fixed the problem for me. Reading another forum and the users were saying it was an "electron" issue so idk which devs we need to go harass :)

I also am experiencing this issue, have for a couple months, I have to manually resize discord everytime I use it on secondary monitor (which is always, since I usually game on Primary)

Still an issue for me.

Issue for me as well, thought it was just because I'm using an old 1080p secondary monitor from goodwill, but apparently not, please look into this.

Can confirm, have the same issue. Have 4 monitors, primary is 3840x2160, other 3 are 1920x1080, arranged as follows (left --> right):
1080p portrait --> 4k primary (125% scaling) --> 1080p landscape --> 1080p landscape;
The 3 1080p monitors are 100% scaling, the 4K as mentioned above is 125% (it's a 27" display). Discord full-screen operates as intended on the 4K, but has the same issues mentioned above on any other display. When not streaming, I keep it full screen on my portrait monitor, but it crops the edges, particularly the left side where the white unread notifications reside. If I force it over to the left and then drag-resize it manually to the right, it bleeds over into the 4K display. Hardware acceleration has not helped.

Also suffering from this issue when using 4k primary and 1920x1200 secondary displays.

Just wanted to chime in that this is happening to me as well. I suspect this is due to scaling as @dub_tv mentioned. My previous multi-monitor setup was fine, but both monitors in that situation had scaling set above 100% as they were both higher resolutions. In my new setup, one monitor is upscaled and the second (where I'm having the problem) is set at 100% scaling.
Unfortunately my messing around with the scaling settings in Windows hasn't found a solution, so I can't see the unread notification markers on the left when I maximize the window :(

I don't really care if this is a necro. I've had this issue for over a year now and it's still a problem. This was fixed years ago but a discord update broke it again.

Same here, just got a 4k monitor, having this issue on my secondary 1080p monitor. No other program does this, so I don't get what's so hard about letting Windows manage the windows

Happening with my 4k tv primary and 1440 monitor secondary.

+1, been having this issue since I reinstalled Windows about a year ago. Very irritating. 4k main display @ 200% scaling, 1080p secondary display @ 100% scaling, Discord stable build 72814 (ef77e5c), Windows 10 x64.
[EDIT]
I just found a workaround that works for me! Can't guarantee it'll work for y'all, but it's worth a shot:
In Discord shortcut/executable properties > Compatibility tab, click "Change high DPI settings" button. At the bottom of the new dialog box, check the box for "Override high DPI scaling behavior"; in the pulldown, select "System". Click OK/Apply on both this dialog and the general Properties dialog. Restart Discord.

This issue was fixed for me with a new update.
4k main display with 200% scaling, 1080p secondary display with 100% scaling

I don't know if this issue is solved for everyone else, but I am running into it... ever since I bought a 4k monitor and reconfigured my monitor setup.
1920x1080 portrait, 4k landscape, 1920x1080 portrait.
Since an update seems to have fixed it for others months ago (and months before my problem surfaced), maybe I need a clean install of Discord?1 -
clean install did in fact work for me

4 years later and this is still a issue lmfao
