About 13 Days Later, Not Using Discord Much UI/Chat Problem

I know you guys were waiting for the initial waves of people complaining to pass so you could hand-wave it saying "Oh see! People got used to it, it's totally fine now!"

I made a post when the update first rolled out, and I'm making another post now to let you know I still cannot stand the new update and at this point have completely turned it off my run on startup list. I don't even look at it on my desktop these days at all.

It used to be what I spent 99% of my time on, now I can't even look at it for more than a few moments at a time. Get in, get out, real fast. It's so terrible.

Thank you for your understanding. I'm sure I, like many others, would like some communication at least. Even just a "We understand you, we're gonna fix it, look forward to it in a week or so (Or the timeline.)"

I daresay a lot of us have been here for years, maybe some since the start. When a lot of us are complaining I would hazard a guess that we really do want Discord to be good, we're not trying to be jerks just to be an angry mob. W care and love Discord and want to be able to use it in a way that's accessible to us.

The way it is now, me and all the other hundreds (maybe thousands?) of posts being ignored here it's kind of scary because for many it kind of stings a bit of loss.

Anyways I know this is the internet and in a minute now someone's gonna tell me to get over it weirdo, or whatever. There it is though, I really am looking forward to the day it gets fixed, or maybe I'm in denial that it on't be.

Cannot agree enough. I held off the update for as long as I could, but was forced to update recently. Time I've spent on Discord has drastically decreased now due to how hard it is to read for long periods of time. If they don't fix this, they're going to have serious issues.

I doubt anything will be done anymore. If they intended to fix it, they would've already. They do not care about customers. Time to look for an alternative and show Discord what happens to companies that don't care.

The update just hit me today, and the new UI was like a jarring slap in the face. It's not quite at the point where I can no longer use discord, but it's definitely gone from "enjoyable experience" to "unpleasant experience that I must tolerate if I want to talk to my friends."

The only reason I haven't been chased away entirely is the fact that turning off reactions removes most of the quick reaction menu's obnoxiousness. But it sucks that I have to chose between "using reactions" and "using discord at all."
