It's impossible to revert the UI change on your own
So, we all know we hate this update. Instead of only complaining about it, I decided to fix the problem myself. However, after about an hour of trying to revert the update with no success, I realized that I was doing the steps right. There was something beyond my reach.
For those who don't know, Discord is actually a cleverly-disguised Chrome; it's actually loading a webpage. If you've ever kept a page open before a website update, you'll know that it doesn't change. The desktop app basically makes itself invisible when you close it--so it still runs in the background--and will become visible again when you open it (via the taskbar, desktop, cortana search, etc). However, if you were to refresh the page or re-visit it, it would update.
In conclusion, the most experienced user can't even change this because Discord is a webapp; the information isn't on the app itself.

Better compatibility with the browser version (no download/in-browser) for all browsers currently in use would be the more likely approach to eliminating issues on any platform while minimizing coding needed. Right now, on the Xbox (Xbox Edge Browser), the in-browser client fails to load the website properly. This causes the website to just spin the loading icon forever... Wished this would get fixed. UWP would the BEST way to include it on Xbox - While we are talking about compatibility and inclusion to Discord across platforms.
