Advanced Settings Menu
I believe it's been stated that discord doesn't want the settings menu to look like "the cockpit of a 747"; However, it is clear that having settings like that would be beneficial. Things like theme customization, adding the line breaks or removing the reaction panel are probably popular suggestions right about now, but there could also be options such as a bandwidth limit on the entire application, a section for exactly how "do not disturb" works, etc. All these niche and complex settings would be useful for some people, even if the majority of users will never touch them. I feel the solution is fairly simply, and one that many applications have already used:
Advanced Settings
It could be a sub menu within each setting category, it's own category at the bottom, or even (my personal preference) a setting of it's own that, when enabled, simply places all the advanced settings into the normal settings menu. This could also be used for any settings that a developer wants to add for testing a feature, being able to enable and disable it while testing, and then it could be left in when the feature is rolled out, in case it has negative impact for some users (like the removing light mode April fools that was not good because of accessibility, or the fact that removing the line breaks makes some dyslexic people unable to read messages as well). Generally, I feel like an "Advanced" menu or option would make a lot of sense, and has very few downsides other than the time it would take to implement. This would also be a good place to put any other suggestions that the average user wouldn't care about, such as dual account sign-in or high contrast mode. An advanced menu for Discord containing settings that the average user does not care about would be a useful feature to add now and would only get more useful as updates continue to be made.
