Privacy Issue! Only option to delete old chats = Delete Account!
Hello, I recently discovered that unlike any chat platform in the WORLD, discord does not allow users to delete conversations. This is a big privacy-security issue. If someone managed to get hold of one of my devices, or to get into one of my accounts, then they could read every conversation that I have had on discord. If I close the conversation, they only need to reopen it.
There is a thing called The Data Protection Act. which says that if any company is holding any information about a person, which the person would like to have deleted, then the company must comply with the request for deletion.
I should not be forced to make a second account, or find a trustworthy friend to transfer my server ownerships to, and delete the whole account, in order to clear old PRIVATE chats away.
I think it is disgraceful that you have setup the app in this way, and I recommend that you prioritise above all other developments, the immediate implementation of a delete conversation function which would allow users to permanently delete old Private conversations. I also advise that you release the update within a week.
Thanks

You can delete all of your messages. Just because it's one-by-one and not bulk doesn't mean it's going against the data protection act.
Have a sense of perspective. I advise you to do this within a week.
