Link as Text

Is there any way to implement the option to post a link as text? I realize that you can turn off images when links are posted and that's somewhat helpful, but I would really love the ability to just highlight a word and attach the link to that word. No more big, long link, no secondary line. Just. Link as text. Period. I can literally do that, right here, in this message box, but not in Discord. 

Can that be corrected?
