Suggestion on how to improve the experience of blocking toxic users
- Messages from blocked users draw far too much attention currently. There shouldn't be a literal message in text form that reads "n blocked message(s)". It would be better to collapse it into just a horizontal line, sort of a <hr> element. Which can then show a tooltip saying it's a blocked message when hovered, and its area of effect can be a couple of pixels wider for easier clicking, in order to keep the feature of manually showing the message.. And it should be a very non-invasive colour that almost blends into the background.
- Messages from other (non-blocked) users should also behave as blocked messages if they @ a blocked user in their content, so that conversations/arguments involving them can be more efficiently ignored.
- Messages from blocked users shouldn't trigger the indicator showing there is new activity in a channel/server.
These would really be beneficial improvements, because sometimes there really are toxic or trolling users in a server, that either take a long time to be banned by admins, or never do because of lack of rules, and efficient blocking would really help user experience.
