Showing our local time to others

I don't entirely agree with your suggestion and reasoning, but it would be nice if we could enable an option so that when people hover over a message timestamp, it shows what time it was sent for the person who sent it. But that would also mean Discord has to store extra data regarding it.
If someone tags you during your sleeping time, just ignore it and respond in the morning if that's an issue, or just respond whenever you're available and find it. If you want to, apologize for not being around and state that you were sleeping.
If they're a good friend, then they'll probably memorize your timezone, and you can feel free to cover this with them. I have several casual friends who are perfectly aware of when I'm most likely sleeping.
Additionally, this could end up being a completely useless feature for some people. For example, you imply that every person on the planet sleeps at something like 10pm-7am their time, and that everyone would inherently know and/or assume that sleeping schedule. But there are lots of people, myself included, who sleep during sunlight hours or some other strange times. How would anyone know that's our sleeping time then? I'm usually asleep any time from 8am-8pm, with a few hours of variance. It's my personal job to ensure that other people know my timezone and sleeping hours if I want them to.
I wouldn't object to it, however, if one could see someone's timezone. (Opt-in, of course.) Like you could set your timezone and set it to be shown to everyone, and they could check your profile and see that your timezone is UTC-5, as an example. Then they could math what time it is for you, if they care. (Although if Discord already knows their timezone, it could probably easily math it locally.)

It's a issue on one server I'm on because it's more than 100 active user more or les always and you have no idea from what time zone they are from.

It might also be a good idea to add a feature to add a basic schedule with at least busy free sleep

I would just like to be able to post a time in a message and have it automatically translated to the person's local time zone... i.e. I'm on the west coast (gmt-7) and the person reading it happens to be on the East coast. I post "Guild War ends at [time:1300]. When it displays, I see 1pm, they see 4pm.

It would be very easy if on every post it showed two times; Sender’s local time, plus you’re local time. Then every one would know the time it was posted at both ends.

I'll have to dig it out of the source code for the bot I've left half written and abandoned for months, but there is a way to do it. Discovered it in one of the more popular general purpose bots and figured out how to integrate it into my own. I know this thread is old as hell, but if I find it I'll comment again with it.
Though, I did just notice that this is the general support forum, not the developer one so suggesting a bot for this purpose is probably not the solution y'all are looking for.0
