Was finally forced to update discord, the new UI is worse in use than I thought
As the title says, I was forced to restart my pc (Which I have not restarted ONCE since the new UI update dropped) and have now been struck with this blight on my eyes.
So now, as someone who has the new UI, I can safely say I am severely upset and will do the usual complaining dance.
-Lack of a divider
For the love of god bring that divider back.
-Highlight on hover
So unnecessary, the constant flashing distracts me and makes it harder to browse messages.
-The new message bar
Old one was fine as it was, this is bright and jarring to the eye. It distracts me even more!
I have to say that for one positive, I'm glad they actually fixed the horrible emoji react so that its not that annoying, but the lack of the divider is the one thing that is honest to god making me consider switching to BetterDiscord just so that I don't have all these messages muddle together.

I haven't "gotten used to it," I just reluctantly tolerate it as discord is the least-bad option out there. At this point I'm fully convinced none of this will be fixed no matter how much their users complain.

After a few days of using it I too have gotten to the reluctant tolerance side of things. I'm not pleased at all, but I have no other way so I'm forced to use it. My faith in discord had already been wavering but now it's definitely gone.

Yeah, I still can't believe that after a month absolutely nothing has changed about this. Not even the option to go back to the previous UI for the vast amount who despise this new UI (and for those who genuinely have mental/physical problems that this new UI shoved under the bus). Nice to see they don't give a damn.

I was excited when I got a new update log today, but disappointed that it changes absolutely nothing about this awful UI.

As someone who's used to Teamspeak, I find the discord UI easy to use (comparably easy to Teamspeak), and don't mind that things highlight on hover, they actually make it easier to use compared to Teamspeak, which doesn't do that.
