I have the same problem. Everything is good with ethernet and 2.4Ghz. But when I connect with 5Ghz problems are start again.

I have the same issue as well... I have a 5G connection, and when I connect to the internet through Ethernet cable it goes completely mute, randomly.
I've checked out the debug and found out, there is no send or received data. that's odd, isn't?
hopefully, it will be fixed anytime soon.
    thanks in advance.

Yeap, you have to change your router.

Is there a fix on this? I have exactly the same problem.
Went from 2.4 to 5Ghz wifi, but video is lagging and when I have my camera on it's simply impossible...

I have a solution, go to your router's page and switch it from 5ghz to 2.4 this isn't convenient but works. You will obviously have worse internet speeds for me it wasn't so bad and definitely worth it for discord.

What I did to change GHz

    • I went to my router's page
    • clicked on wifi settings
    • selected 2.4 and removed 5ghz

+ you can always change it back to 5GHz doesn't take a minute

    2ND METHOD

You can download ProtonVpn and then make sure that the VPN only affects discord by going into settings... after that, you will be good.

I personally don't use this method because it caused me lag spikes while I was playing even though it was only selected for discord.

It sounds like there may be a conflict between your 5GHz Wi-Fi network and Discord. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Update Discord: Make sure you have the latest version of Discord installed on your device. You can check for updates by going to the Discord website or your device's app store.

    2. Check your audio settings: Make sure that your audio settings are configured correctly in Discord. You can check this by going to the User Settings > Voice & Video and making sure that your input and output devices are set correctly.

    3. Restart Discord: Sometimes, simply restarting Discord can resolve connectivity issues. Close the app completely and then open it again to see if this resolves the issue.

    4. Change the Wi-Fi channel: It's possible that your 5GHz Wi-Fi network is using the same channel as your Bluetooth or other wireless devices, which can cause interference. Try changing the Wi-Fi channel on your router to see if this resolves the issue.

    5. Disable QoS: Some routers have Quality of Service (QoS) settings that prioritize certain types of traffic, which can cause issues with Discord. Try disabling QoS on your router to see if this resolves the issue.

    6. Use wired connection: If none of the above solutions work, try using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi. This will ensure a stable and reliable connection for Discord.

Hopefully, one of these router-guide solutions will resolve the issue and allow you to connect to your 5GHz Wi-Fi network without any issues with Discord.
