Functionality for moderators to send one DM to each member of the group

I am moderator of a group, but when I need to send DMs to the members of the group, I get stuck several times by the anti-spam filter.

We could have a functionality to send the same message to all the group members but writing it only once.

This could save moderators a lot of time.

    this would often cause performance issues within discord (backend), especially if used in large servers

    Really, Dunk? I know that there's a similar functionality in WhatsApp and I haven't heard of issues about it.

    think about it, you have a server with 10k members, you use this feature and it sends a message to 10k users, that is 10k messages that discord has to process. now multiply that by the immense number of servers that exist

    I understand that. However, I don't know what would be technically necessary to allow for this kind of feature. But I insist, WhatsApp has a very similar functionality. 

     

    Btw, are servers the same as groups?

     

    Besides, how common are groups/servers with 10k members on Discord? I started to use this platform just a month ago. I am not acquainted with the number of users that servers normally have.

    Because one app/service can handle the traffic does not mean others can. Groups are somewhat different, they're limited to 10 members and don't have roles/permissions. Large servers are rather common, there are some with several hundred thousand members (the Minecraft server has over 400k)
