Discord changes file names when sharing files, by replacing spaces with underscores.

    Yeah this happens to me too but I don't see why you would have to go through all of that just to prevent the replacement. I just send and it and don't really bat an eye. Sure I agree it's a bit annoying and the feature would be cool but you can save your breath bro lol.

    That was a pretty dumb comment.  

    Preserving file names is important in many different contexts.  Some of us don't just use discord to send pictures to our friends for giggles, but we use it for work, projects, etc. to transfer things like configuration files, source code files, or other software components that must be unmodified in order to work correctly.  So it's annoying on a different level than what you think.  It's not just "oh it doesn't look good", it actually hurts productivity for some of us.  

    A good file transfer app shouldn't mess with the file names.

    It is bad practice to have spaces in file names. Servers (all web servers) don't like them and replace them with weird codes, so an underscore is better. Always avoid spaces.
