Thank you
My university has gone fully online to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. As a TA for the course, I was challenged to figure out how the class can still meet, hold student presentations, and actively learn from a online course. Immediately, I thought Discord. My first thought was not something like Zoom, but was Discord. In Discord, we can still have small group discussions, Think-Pair-Share activities, full class lectures, student presentations and more. Your app is marketed as a app for gamers, but gamers are the ultimate at long distance engagement, collaboration, navigating new software, communication and building a community. The key ingredients to gaming are also the key ingredients to online learning. I guess what I am trying to say here is thank you.
Thank you for building this app. Thank you for nurturing this community.
Stay safe out there.

Thank you Discord team!

We conducted a virtual Scouts BSA meeting last night with upwards of 20 people logged in. A few scouts earned rank advancements by entering a "board of review" room - and others worked on other advancements. Thank you for helping, as we could not have done it so quickly and seemlessly if you hadn't opened up your service for 50 participants.

Hello !
I'm a french faculty member.
I do want to address my "thank you a lot" to the Discord team. I can give my lectures, help my students debug their codes (through screen sharing), maintain the scheduled meetings and meet my family through face-to-face discussions, all this due to Discord.
You have to know that you are giving help to an ENORMOUS number of persons and I sincerely thank you for this.
