Blue Screen of Death Bug When Disconnecting USB Mic While in Channel

There appears to be a bug (possibly with Discord, possibly Windows) where if I disconnect my microphone  while connected to a voice chat on a server, I get an instant blue screen of death.

I'm running Windows 10, and the microphone is a Blue Snowball.

Avoiding this bug is not a problem for me if I can remember to disconnect first, but software shouldn't crash an entire system like this.
