Raise the limit of video calls from 10 people to at least 30

Good idea, i would preffer to use Discord instead of other platforms.

Totally supporting the idea!

Yeah especially that is so easy to use for students and teachers. And i even try to launch Discord communication in school already.

At high school we want to use Discord, but our teachers wants to use ZOOM.us
It's for desktop and mobile. In the free you can add up to 100 persons in video call for maximum 40 minutes.
Register is optional.

I also would reccommend raising the number of viewers for a Video Livestream with webcams if possible.
Like everyone else said with the virus happening Discord could really benefit from allowing an abundance of people to be able to interact.
Honestly- Im trying to host an online anime convention for people due to our local con getting canceled-
My server has 140+ members and growing and I would like to be able to offer bigger online panel channels so as many people as possible could join a channel.
Heck I would even be willing to throw my money at this capibility LOL.0 -

That's Go Live not a video call.

Isn't Go Live suitable for teachers?

Please do it. As a part of paid perks for example, would be awesome.
Discord looks as a great friend for schools not just in time of crisis <3
Thanks for great link @Krige.2 -
Please Please Please, that would be awesome. I would even pay for it ...

PLEAAAASEEEEEE
The 10 people limit is soooo annoying for a videocall. We usually are more than 10 people and we always have to switch to another platform as people get connected.4 -
Most awesome thing to do would be to allow having camera input as small box in corner of screen, combining camera and computer screen capture. I can imagine it would be engineering challange but result would be just awesome.

I would assume this is only beneficial to both the company and the people using the platform. I'm unsure as to why this is not already a feature. Would love this myself being that my wife and I were finding creative ways to head up student groups online. Discord seemed to be the ideal platform, but the video cap is forcing me to look to other available options.

Since Zoom has encountered security problems, schools has forbidden to use it,
I've always wanted to follow my lessons on Discord and I created a server to make sure every student and teacher can use it wisely. Now we're able to do video chat, that's awesome! But we're more than 25 (the actual limit) and we cannot do it.
Many teachers doesn't want to teach on Discord because of this limit...I absolutely agree with the idea of raising this limit to at least 30, and 35 would be awesome (actual number of people in a classroom in France) ! It is essential, please don't make us having lessons on shitty applications :(
If it requires more memory for discord's servers, we could imagine a system in which only 25 members can use the camera, and the others are just keeping watching the lesson (there's always people who doesn't participate anyway).

Yes! Please.
I can't continue with ZOOM, but our class has 35 students :(
Please do something.5 -
Yes, it would be super awesome if this is raised to 35 or 40
2 -
Yes please 40 would be perfect... with 25 we have to use another software...

i need maximum capacity at 50 users now

especially because those other platforms are soooo shady
i'd feel 1000x more safe if my classes were on discord

Will be awesome rase the limite for something like zoom! Up to 100 people with the discord nitro! I really don't care paying 15 $/ month for it.
2 -
My university is now trying to use it. We need at least 200 per call. Limit who can stream video to 25 at a time, but 200 people need to be able see their screen/camera.

I agree. We are using Discord more and more in our classes, but it’s a very annoying limit with 25 users on a video channel. This makes us still stuck with Zoom for certain tasks. I am sure this would be a feature many would pay for. I see no point to just keep the cap to 25 active video users (broadcasting streams) but letting 2-300 users just be in the channel.
