I fully agree. Having different types of @ in discord chats would be an extra function though, not a necessary one though. This is more of something in order to make fluid and functioning sentences rather than a neccesity. I can already see this being used. For example, I'm sick and tired of using @everyone when I wanna ask if 'someone' has this or that.
E.g. "Can @someone invite me to the server" if you're talking in a group chat rather than "Can @everyone invite me to the server". It already sounds better and actually makes fucking sense.
