Why do I have to enable the ugly windows animations just so animated emotes/profile pictures play themselves?

Come on now, some of us don't have them off because our computer can't handle it. We just don't like it, if you're going to add something like this then at least give us options on what can be turned on/off. I don't want to have to ruin my desktop experience just for 1 application.
