Make the gifs and emotes autoplay again REGARDLESS of Windows settings
Okay, so for those who don't know, Discord pushed yet again an update that ruined more than it should have:
https://www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/comments/flesus/adding_reduced_motion_quick_reactions_change/
Essentially, they introduced an "Reduced Motion Mode" which takes based on your OS the different settings. So this means if your OS settings have removed animation via, for example, Windows Settings, your Gifs and Gif emotes won't autoplay anymore. Even if they added an "Off" switch to the settings, it's already turned off by default for us many people.
Please, please PLEASE revert this. Just because I don't want to see Windows Animations, which by the way ruins my workflow, I want to see Discords gifs and especially the gif emotes autoplay. The answer we've gotten so far is "well, just turn on the settings from your own pc" but I do NOT want to see Windows animations, just the animations in Discord. The settings in my own PC disturb my own workflow and performance, while Discord never has caused any issues to my performance or PC which is why I don't mind seeing the emotes in Discord.
The last time you pushed an unwarranted update it was equally as garbage (the whole chat UI changing with the quick reaction toolbar and message highlighting that was, and still is, HORRIBLE) and I'm actually really sad that now two times in a row Discord has pushed out a major update it has ruined the experience for me. I've been subscribed to Discord Nitro for 3 years but now my Nitro is essentially useless since I - and other people - have to hover over the gif emotes that I usually would see before.
The fact that Discord so far has pushed the blame to Windows and the end-users after being the ones to enact this change is lazy and frankly, insulting.
Just please revert this update. Make the gifs and gif emotes autoplay by default and make an option for us to be able to turn it on or off - but make the gifs and emotes play by default, like it was before. Since now we have to go to the Windows setting to change if we want to see the emotes again.

If you go to your user settings<appearance, scroll down and you should see this check box that says "Sync with computer". Remove your check from that and beneath it, you should be able to turn off reduced motion.

Sorry to necro but I just wanted to say thank you for this!
