Custom themes

hey i feel like discord should add this feature. its a really useful feature for people that wants to have unique client and adding it into the client shouldnt be hard since the discord is basically a browser. i have made some designs on how things should look in the settings

user would be able to make their own theme, export it in .css file or anything that discord would be able to read, custom file extension like .distheme which is basically renamed css and import it back if they ever want to re-use the theme.

this is how the editor should look like, fully customizable with layer priority system. people would be able to drag images, menus, sidebars and the chat. change their colors opacity or blur the image.

this feature is gonna open up so many ideas, communities that are gonna work together on making themes for everyone!!

    Yes, that's a great idea!
    However, I might add that perhaps also have the option to add a slightly transparent background on messages to help with readability. ;)
    And especially don't forget how important it is that you're able to change the text color too!
    (perhaps also add the ability to add a text-shadow (also with optional color separate from the text color) to once again help with readability.)

    I too would love this!
    I understand that adding new features takes a lot of work but even something as simple as what https://obsidian.md does where you have a folder you can dump CSS files into and they appear in the themes dropdown. Shouldn't be too hard to do.
    I'm a linux user with a themed desktop environment and currently discord sticks out like a sore thumb, light or dark theme. One of the reasons I think people don't ask for this is that those who really want it just use things like betterdiscord etc. I for one don't want to violate the TOS so it'd be great to see some love for those of us who want to play by the rules :)

    I'd love to have this in vanilla discord, external clients do this but they are against TOS so it would be amazing to have it built in and it seems like there is some demand for it online too.
