I cant download discord

i instal the Discordsetup.exe 

but say:

Installation has failed

There was an error while installing the application.

check the setup log for more information and contact the author

setup log                 close

  Same here, my cpu thinks that its still installed after countless failed attempts to delete the files (was able to delete files in appdata but not localappdata) i was able to install discord from some other random site and it seems to work fine.

  i cant downloaded because it writing the same thing what can i do

  i even try to deleted and again downloaded

  but everything its like in the beggining

  also when i tried to update my discord it loaded the update screen yet the update never happened so I deleted it and tried to reinstall. However a message kept appearing saying that there was an error. What do i do?

  i did it!

   

  so you basically do win + r then you type %appdata% then delete the discord file.

   

  you do win + r again, this time, %localappdata% and then delete the discord file.

  if it says that discord is running in the background, you open task manager and end all discord tasks. then you can delete the Discord file,

  I tried this but every time I do it it says a folder or file from it is open in another program. Ive gone through everything and the appdata (roaming and local) is the only place left

  Madjestic  i found the fix for that if it says discord is still open press ctrl+shift+escape and scroll down until you see discord click on it and press end task in the bottom right corner
