Allow viewing stream on a device while connected to voice from another device
Viewing a stream on a phone is terrible and not all computers have a microphone, but one account can't use their devices in a voice channel at the same time to watch a stream and talk with others. Watching a stream should not prevent another device from connecting to the same voice channel.

I have a similar problem: I'm sitting on my computer talking with with people while watching their videos, all fine. My problem is for sharing I want to use my laptop because it has touchscreen and allows me to draw things. For me it would be fine to be able to just send a video from another device. I don't need to watch the video on this device, just sending my shared screen. Actually I'm using a second account just for this but not having Nitro on this and chatting between different accounts is all not nice.

This would definitely help, I'm trying to watch a stream on my Surface while doing something else full-screen on my PC, but using PC headphones can't have the Discord audio going through that.

I support this.

Same. I don't have speakers or a mic on my computer, headphones only. I connect to voice from my phone, but it forces me to switch the video to my phone. When we're looking at documents, that means they're unreadable.

That's my problem too. My laptop's microphone doesn´t work properly and it´s imposible for me to share my screen or view a streaming when I need to speak.
Discord, it would be a great idea to allow users to connect to the same voice channel with one device to speak and other to share screen o watch a streaming

Yes, please. I don't own a PC headset yet. If I could follow my friend's stream on PC while connecting push-to-talk through my phone app, I could participate in social media viewing. As it is, I have to pick being able to see, or being able to communicate. It's frustrating and disheartening.

I agree as well! This is pretty important to me as my headset broke recently, but also as I want to be able to stream and use a camera simultaneously. Neither device that I play games on can take video. -_-

Kind of having the reverse problem (like the first comment and two others above). Would be nice to be able to stream from a difference device to the calling device.
This would be really useful when using my phone for calls (computer / headset mic is bad and too quiet) but would still like to share the computer's screen. Or even when on my laptop / tablet for a call and want to share computer screen.
Essentially seperating the streaming and viewing streams from the voice call (it's already like this to some extent since you can share your webcam and stream seperately).1 -
I'd like to see this feature.
I don't have a second monitor at the moment, so it'd be good be able to be in voice on my PC and watch a stream on my tablet.

Yes, please. Looking for this so we can stream video from our PCs and watch others in the channel with multistream on a tablet.

This feature would be really nice

Have they added this or is it still not there yet?

Here is another vote to make this a reality. I want to be able to listen on my phone while using the video on my computer.

I do not own a secondary screen, i own a laptop instead. Booth are connected via a mixer into the same headphones. I do NOT like a second screen, the whole purpose of this is to not take any performance off the main rig. I would love the possibility to watch streams in the current channel on my laptop while being connected to voice with my main rig, otherwise i can only chat.

same deal here, what's strange is that discord allows me to remain in my voice channel (muted) on my server, on my main rig and lets me view a friend screen share from my DM's on my laptop.
why cant this be a feature outside private messages and across servers. It would be a huge improvement for most people including myself who use a second device for such media while gaming/working on their primary monitor. I shouldn't have to sacrifice engaging with friends on a social platform for the convenience of watching their stream on another device.0 -
Just ran into this as well recently. Sometimes need to stream from a local game build on my dev PC, which doesn't have a proper mic/camera setup, as my conferencing and all that runs on my main PC. I can stream from the dev PC, but then my mic and camera are gone.
I don't want to add another bunch of hardware and hacks just to work around this seemingly artificial limitation, as the rig is ridiculous enough as it is! (There's a console devkit involved as well, but there's a remote viewer and stuff for that, so if I can just stream properly from the dev PC, the console is covered.)0
