Open invite in browser OR in app
I have 2 accounts. One is logged in on the browser version of discord, the other is logged in on the windows 10 app.
When I click a invite link in my browser I expect the invite to apply to the browser account or to open to the "you've been invited" page and let me create a new account if I use a different browser/private mode.
At the very least I should be able to choose if I'd like the link to open in the app or not. Do what reddit does on mobile and ask "open in app or continue in browser" if that's what it takes.
I used a fresh copy of windows with only the discord app and browsers installed to check if it was some setting in the browser, but all browsers launched the app as soon as I attempted to open an invite.
I know I can just copy the link, but I shouldn't have to.
TL;DR : Can't click an invite in a browser without it launching the app and inviting the wrong account.

having the same issue. the problem is even weirder, when the desktop client is closed: then BOTH acounts receive the invite!
i'd really appreciate it, if you could just choose where the invite is opened!

That would be immensely convenient. Definitely.

I click on invite ad it’s always taking me to the Apple App Store rather than Discord like it used to. I’ve done everything to try to open in discord, but it will not!

Like Dawn, “I click on invite ad it’s always taking me to the Apple App Store rather than Discord “ except when I go to store it says OPEN not GET... Discord is already open and running when I click on ANY discord invite link... it started doing it a few months ago

They do this because they push users to install the app… Discord already works great in my browser, why do I have to install another browser that can only open Discord?
