Why not topping educational apps table?!
Dear Discord Team,
Well done and hats off to your splendid app!
Yet perfection stays some miles away guys. I am an educator and have been using your app for a while. From my experience, educationally, I found Discord quite practical with its speed, voice and text channels, and screen sharing capability.
Despite all these, I think time is ripe to crush the crust and flourish beyond the boarders of online gaming into the world of education. As more and more teachers, trainers, and tutors as well as schools and institutes are joining the app in search of an all-inclusive app enabling them to teach online, I reckon the following options can be thought of:
a. an interactive shareable whiteboard or at least some drawing tools while screen sharing can be really helpful to millions of educators and students.
b. Increasing the number of webcams to a couple more would turn your app into a serious rival for Zoom, adobe connect, or any other so-called specialized educational apps. this is specially important when holding a joint webinar or a panel discussion.
c. Adding voice message to the chatting box can, for sure, disarm communication apps such as whatsapp, telegram, and the like. This is particularly favored by slow typists (including myself) and those with weak eyesight and tiny mobile keyboards. Note that they are millions!
d. Integrating more equipped educational templates will make our lovely Discord much more lovable. This can be done by adding some simple options such as an in-built dictionary making the app more international and communicative, an editable collaborative notebook, a calendar with reminding features, a recording tool, etc.
We are all impatiently looking forward to seeing more and more practical features be added to Discord so as to make it world's No. 1 communication app as it rightfully deserve the title.
Sorry to be so wordy,
Best of Luck!
