Please remove square borders in calls

After the new update, calls went from having sleek round icons to ugly out of place square borders. I see no way this makes any positive improvement and just seems to be a pointless change, please revert this or at least allow us to revert it ourselves

    Not only does it look worse subjectively, but it's objectively less useful. I use Discord on my second monitor, and I can no longer easily see when I or anyone else is muted or deafened. You have to go hover over that portion of the interface and then those icons slowly fade up.

     

    That's the worst part of it for me. Yeah it looks awful, but now it has reduced functionality. Zero idea why they made this change.

    It's absolutely horrible and I agree completely, please roll back to the circle icons. The squares are awful to look at.

    This call interface needs to be trashed immediately. I do not want to see my icon with a background (it shouldn't have one???) Especially if I don't get to choose the color of that background around my *own* icon. I get that you have a "show member list" option, but that only works if you're using full screen?? I would like to be able to see my text AND have the stream visible at the same time, without having to look at a giant (currently pink) background around my avatar that isn't even live. This is such a stupid design choice, who decided that this would make sense or look good? It looks terrible. My partner and I use this private window share daily, and now I have to either full screen or see my icon every time now, and minimize in order to type??? Try using it for all of 5 minutes. It's annoying. Seriously, stop screwing up your interface unless you want to become just as irrelevant as Rabb.it now is. 

    Just keep it sleek and simple. There were no complaints. Stop. Messing with it. Stop wasting space on your interface. Negative space is *good*.

    I thought I was the only one experiencing the discord changes I hate the squares it makes the calls look awful and I miss the round profile pics
