New Android UI is horrible

The text input box is now tiny and cramped. Why is discord mindlessly following the current design trend of filling planes with curved objects? It's incredibly ugly in addition to being a waste of space. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old UI, but there is a TON wrong with the new one. Roll it back or people will find alternatives. This is terrible.
