New update makes everything take longer and more difficult

Ive been using discord near daily for over 3 years now, i know how stuff works cause ive nearly exclusively used mobile.

Hell in typing this on my phone

And this update was getting good

New options for server settings like emotes and such were easier to find...

But the instant i hopped into discord and saw that the image button was hidden while i had my keyboard up...

And now i have even less damn space to see which emote id like to choose cause there is a huge search bar constantly present instead of just using the already prepatch present search bar in the bottom left

It just makes everything slower and more difficult to manage and dammit, this sucks

Make it be a toggle, dont force this down our throats

Idk the reasoning for this design choice but its terrible

Find other things to fiddle and fix, but not this

Dont ruin this

    I dont even wan a open discord now in fear of realizing this is reality...

    Ima go play l4d2 and use twitter

    In a attempt to postpone the inevitable moment i go into a rage from having to do a single extra button press

    (And yes, this does matter, its called ui, and like how in rpgs the least button presses it takes to deal out a move, the better the UI is considered to be, which also applies to discord)

    Seconding this! Also now the text entry field is so narrow, with a bunch of wasted space around the emote button. I want it back the way it used to be, maybe have all the functions (image, emotes, Send, etc) on a thin horizontal toolbar (where we can choose how compact or big that toolbar is for accessibility), above or below the entry field, while letting the whole horizontal space be available for entering text.

    Why on god's green earth would they make the emoji window smaller so you can see less? Why would they take the button that let you add a photo and hide it behind a drop down window? So clunky now. Is it more aesthetically pleasing or something? I thought it looked fine before? Is it faster to add a picture by using the camera? I never did that before. And if they felt like making these horrid changes to where you type, why not add the gif button from desktop
