Hiding members list in channels

Not sure if I'm posting this in the correct spot, or if this topic has been done yet or not, but I apologize in advance.

Is there a way to hide the list of members in a server channel? My laptop re-started on me when I was sleeping, I left it on, and when I logged into Discord (aside from it opening my web browser and giving me the okay to log in) when I go into a server channel, on the right side it lists the online and offline members of that channel. Is there a way to hide the members list? I liked being able to have a wider window for the channel posting, rather than the smaller window that we have now due to the members list being on the right hand side of the server channels.
