Android video behavior

So with the recent update for beta testers, we now get the option to play videos without making them fullscreen. I know it seems smart to do this, but who wouldn't want to watch videos (especially in some meme servers) in fullscreen!? Sure we have the option to do this by taping the area outside of the play button, but it's rather annoying to do that and I feel other mobile users may not be fans of it. Users are not very open to change which unfortunately makes development hard, I get it; but why fix something that doesn't need fixing is what I'm trying to ask.
