option to disable floating window with my camera feed in videocalls
I usually use the pop out function in video calls, and I select the always on top button. Then i make it a small window in a corner of the screen so that I can see the other persons camera whenever I feel like. Having the floating window with my feed in the way obstructs a big part of the other persons camera. An option to disable this would be great. I see the utility in having it, just not the reason why I can't disable it if I feel like it.

100% agreed, I hope they fix this soon as it really feels like it's an obstruction right now, not just when popped out but also in regular viewing mode, I wish I could just turn off my cam feed on my screen all together.

sweet baby jesus please give us an option to disable. Discord being a bloated piece of crap bloatware means this takes up hella resources. On older computer I can actually feel this "feature" lagging my system to hell. I usually have discord on second monitor, but I literally have to minimize the entire program and now I can't see chat/channels while I do whatever I'm doing.
Next time you implement something, regardless of how much you think people want something, just make an enable/disable option. Don't think about it, just make it a requirement.1 -
I would like to have this feature so we can use discord for TV broadcast of remote commentators and players

definitely. It's really annoying during certain situations

These monkeys still have this problem as of July 2021. I just yelled at my computer after looking at the options for 5 minutes and finding none, nor any way from the window to turn it off. I hope the devs think they're great people when they are willingly and knowingly subjecting people to joining channels and being forced to see someone beating off on camera. I'm disgusted by the incompetence, but my friends are too dumb to stop using discord
