Notifications: @mentions only across all servers
I'm having an issue getting friends to join Discord and getting them to use the application. It seems that much of the problem revolves around the fact that users must consistently apply notification management in each server that they join.
It would be nice if personal user profiles could set their own notification setting, whether they want to receive notifications from all servers that they ever join.
On a personal note, whenever I do go into a new server, it is frustrating at times, because I often forget that I have to set notification settings to @mentions only each time I join a new one.
Discord is highly intuitive, for the most part. It's just this one area that could use improvement.

Either miss important notifs until too late like @mods or @here
...or I get sensory overload from constant buzz or pingging on my devices over some random flood messages in a server. Can be quite overwhelming and I end up muting the whole app.
A platform wide mentions-only/DM setting would be helpful for users who have nitro and/or are active in a lot of communities
Like how I can set to only receive push notifs for direct messages, was trying to have notifs of everytime someone speaks to me but not get overwhelmed with pings of other people talking to eachother about who knows what
a more focused setting but also applies more globally than we have now to all servers im in rather than going to each one individually. Like Direct or @role messages
