Discord Losing Favorite Gifs and Not Scrolling
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when I want to include a gif in a chat, I can't scroll through my favorite gifs or scroll through the gif search.
Additionally, if I try logging out- I just end up losing all my favorite gifs.

Using the Inspector, I found if I set #gif-picker-tab-panel > div.content-ySCtCx > div.results-3i9FaE.thin-1ybCId.scrollerBase-289Jih.fade-2kXiP2 to height: 800px; (for example) that I can now see more than 2-3 lines of GIFs in the GIFs tab. height: 100% on its own does not help. Appears the box height is collapsing down to the height of the GIFs window itself and so it doesn't think there is a need for a scroll bar (like the content/container of images is floating so it doesn't realize there's more to see).
HTML Drilldown to location: <main class="chatContent-a9vAAp" aria-label="coordination (channel)"><form class="form-2fGMdU"><div aria-controls="popout_63635" aria-expanded="false"><div class="channelTextArea-rNsIhG channelTextArea-2VhZ6z"><section class="positionContainer-DEuh7X"><div class="drawerSizingWrapper-17Mss4"><div class="contentWrapper-SvZHNd"><div id="gif-picker-tab-panel" role="tabpanel" aria-labelledby="gif-picker-tab" class="container-3ISnnM"><<div class="content-ySCtCx"><div class="results-3i9FaE thin-1ybCId scrollerBase-289Jih fade-2kXiP2" style="overflow: hidden scroll;padding-right: 0px;height: 800px;">
^ height: 800px; in the last div is mine.

had the same problem. contacted discord. and now i can scroll through gifs again! however im not sure if i lost my favourite gifs but i don't care what matters is i can scroll down again anyway here is what they told me and how i fixed it. :
1) Temporarily disable antivirus programs and firewalls
2) Terminate all Discord-related processes in Task Manager (Make sure you select 'More details' to show all processes and disable Discord from 'Startup' tab)
3) Completely remove and clear all Discord-related folders from both %AppData% and %LocalAppData% (Windows key + R and enter those paths)
4) Restart your PC
5) Disable antivirus programs and firewalls once more
6) Install Discord0 -
Had the same issue, finally fixed it !
I downloaded the installer from Discord's website and launched it. Discord acted like it was upgrading itself, then launched. And the gifs' scrollbar was repaired.
I guess some old patch hasn't been dispatched correctly...

Guys, I found the solution!!
Close Discord
Go here:
"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\discord" (or in the folder navigation bar write "%appdata%/discord" without quotes)
Delete the file "userDataCache.json"
Reopen discord, gif are back and working!

Ok, my previous solution is not the final solution, because once you close and reopen another time discord, will return broken.
There are 2 ways, easy and hard fix:
- Easy fix:
you delete the file I previously talked about
enter discord
spam one channel or your friend with all your fav gif
close discord
redelete the previous file
delete the "Local Storage" folder in the same folder of the file (AppData\Roaming\discord)
open discord
resave all your favourite gif
- Hard fix: here you have to know what you are doing, also the "problem" must have happen fairly recently, otherwise stick with the other explaination above.
Delete the file, enter the folder Local Storage\leveldb, open the file MANIFEST-000001 with an editor, find the last string that start with "META:https://discord.com" (start from the end of the file) and from that point delete the rest of the string (the quoted one included, basically these lines make this file point to the files I will talk later), save, (optional) there are some .ldb file (like MS Access files) delete the last modified file from those and the .txt file that have similar name, open discord, close and reopen (so the file that we deleted will be restored), see if the gif are there, if not, repeat the process from the start, until you run out of .ldb files to delete, if that's the case and still it doesn't work, you cannot restore the previous working point because too much time passed (at least this is what I think, never happened to me yet), so you have to go with the above explaination

Still experiencing this issue...

Hi there!
I have a solution for those who've already signed out and back in and are still experiencing this issue.
1. Delete the discord application
2. Use Ctrl + Alt + Del and select Task Manager
3. End any discord related tasks (if there are multiple, you have to end them one by one), then close Task Manager
4. Go onto the control panel > Programs and features > click 'Discord' > click 'Uninstall', then close the control panel
5. Press Win + R (run) and type '%AppData%' > go to 'local' and 'roaming' folders (step may be unnecessary) > locate and delete 'Discord' folder
6. Restart your computer
7. Download Discord from the Discord website
That's what worked for me!
