MacOS infite crash loop - 10.11.6 - Push to talk channels only
I'm currently on an early 2009 Macbook pro, running MacOS 10.11.6.
I've updated discord as much as possible and reinstalled it several times because I kept running into an infinite crash loop. So far from what I have seen from other issues with people crashing when joining VC, this is a completey different problem.
If I join a Voice Channel that has the limitation/rule that only push to talk is allowed, you ofcourse get the popup with this information, but as soon as you click "Okay", the whole UI disappears, just a blank dark grey background and it seems to restart the app. (Crash?)
It doesn't completely shut down or quit, it just seems to reboot inside the app itself.
The main problem with this issue is that it reboots itself, then automatically joins that same Voice Channel again, give the popup again, and you have no other options. You can't switch channels or chat, or whatever, just the popup. Click okay > crashes again > restarts the app > rejoins VC > click okay > crashes > etc. etc.
Even if you force quit the app, it will rejoin that voice channel as soon as you try to start discord again.
Currently the only "workaround" if have found that actually lets me use the program on my laptop normally again is by logging onto discord on my phone > join a different voice channel (so it basically kicks me out of whatever other VC) and then open discord again on my laptop.
I understand this could probably be related to just having an ancient laptop and you guys ofcourse can't provide support for all these old devices, but I just wanted to inform you of this issue.
(If needed, I can very easily replicate the issue and record my screen)

I am having the similar troubles with input mode of: voice activity. I am using an iMac with 10.11.6 El Capitan.
Everything worked perfectly 8x days ago; but, tonight my son wanted to talk with his friends on my iMac instead of his iphone. The discord app had done two updates when opened tonight. Then discord went into a continuous loop when he tried to connect to a talk channel. You get a gray screen for 10 secs; then the channel for 2 secs; back to gray screen... etc.
You cannot force quit the application and start it back up again; because it goes into the same loop right away. The only fix was to completely delete all discord related files. Then reinstall discord and log in again. Everything works perfectly until you connect to a talk channel. I have had discord working for the past 30-minutes looking and reading all my Clan postings. Trouble ONLY HAPPENS when to connect to a talk channel.
During the past eight days, the only update that happened has been the two updates with Discord tonight.
Please fix this as soon as possible please. Thank-you... bp
