Profile Backgrounds for All Users

I propose that Discord should implement profile backgrounds for the profile pop out menu and profile modal.

There are several posts on here that suggest adding profile backgrounds for Nitro users only and that the background should only appear in the profile modal.

I believe it is reasonable for this feature to be available to all users with a maximum image size of 2 MB. It would be interesting to see if Nitro users could have the maximum image size increased or allow for animated backgrounds like with profile pictures.

    how about they just add backgrounds for discord in general so people dont have to risk getting banned for using stuff like better discord. Maybe thay should allow betterdiscord if they dont want to put in the effort

    hope this gets implemented soon, and please, if you want to make it a nitro exclusive, at least dont make us buy the 10$ version.

    This would add some much needed customization to Discord. You have my upvote. However, I don't think it should be unique to Nitro users only.

    I reckon it'd be good, maybe color for all users, picture for nitro users? probably used for abuse so maybe like multiple colors for nitro?

    Also this would be used in the background of a SS/VC when their pfp is displayed with a background of the this color instead of the main color of their pfp

    If Discord doesn't implement this, I'm gonna be legit mad because this is something that would fit vanilla Discord and would make Nitro even better
