Renderer not responding on MacOS

The Discord render process always eventually crashes. Discord window seems normal though.

    Thanks for reaching out to us! Also, I'm sorry to hear about your issue with Discord Helper on your Mac OSX device.

    Just to give you a heads up and as confirmed by the team, the issue with Discord Helper that is not responding is currently a known issue that is on our team's radar. I want to reassure you that our team is on the case and working on a fix, however, I sadly don't have an exact ETA for when a solution will be available.

    I'm so sorry that we don't have an immediate solution for you, but please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime and I'd be happy to help.

    Creating DiscordGames folder in Applications folder fixed my problem, thanks opa

    Steps:

    1. $ cd /Applications/Discord.app
    2. $ mkdir DiscordGames
    3. restart discord

    Job for me: 10.15.7 (19H2)

    Has anybody verified that this has been fixed? Discord support closed my ticket weeks ago but didn't give a resolution.I don't want to install this app again until I know it's been fixed. This app is burning up my machine.

    Nope, same problem with Big Sur. Creating DiscordGames helped like for 10min.

    Hi, i tried all the solution, but only downloading Discord Canary the Discord Helper Renderer doesn't crash. I hope this info can be helpful for someone xD

    I just installed Discord Canary after reading @Fredo_Stream s comment - didn't work for me. Got a Late 2019 Pro with Big Sur. Last week I just straight up couldn't use my Macbook while in a video chat. Everything was just insanely slow. Even just starting chrome was a hustle.

    the same for me. Not working creating a directory (DiscordGames). Playing in BigSur. 

    unlucky.irk : Any news? I believe that this issue is affecting the performance of the computer in video games.

    Support finally got back with me and requested some additional information and said they are now trying to get to the bottom of this. We'll see what happens.
