Is this "Discord Birthday#2492" bot a scam?!

Because this so called discord bot randomly slided on my dms and sent me this thing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US !! To thank you your loyalty on discord, we are setting up an event to get free boost. You must add it on all your servers and wait 24h" I just wanna make sure if this thing is legit cuz I literally added it on my server but I kicked the bot bc I was thinking that this Bot is a scam, I need you're help because I'm having doubts right now.

    By the sounds of it, it is a scam. Due to the fact, any official Discord messages would be either sent to your email or by the Discord system account. Be cautious, I'd recommend against adding it to your server as it probably will be "re-purposed" and changed into a mass DM bot and send out some porn link to everyone in your server.

    Anyway, Discord's birthday is 13 May (source:https://blog.discord.com/discords-first-birthday-recap-ac1e9c056864)

    Doesn't seem like Discord would make a bot to celebrate, moreover, the requirements for the free boost is also kinda shady.
    They might as well just give everyone a boost directly or made an in-app notification instead of a random bot, if you think about it.

    Lastly, the discord tag #2492 seems too random to be legit. Like, if it were by the Discord peeps it would probably be like #1337 or something haha

    I got a message too, it seems to spread whenever it joins a server you are in like some kind of malware. Change your passwords and stay safe out there.

    I got it too, and realized it appeared on a server I never use. It appears someone on that server believed it and added it, and I almost did too, but I hesitated so I left it there. Now I came again to see, and it's name changed to "Fake Bot" and it sent me this:"MUST JOIN TO GET FREE NITRO & STAY ON THE SERVER ✊✊🏾✊🏿 *discord link* LOVE CLUB +18" like... five times and now I'm certain it's a scam. In my case It's #2595 tho, I'm not so used to discord, so I don't know what that means.

    I have the same thing except it is "© Fifth Birthday Event#6593" advertising a server with only 131 members that is not verified. On the profile it also says it is live to twitch under discord's verified twitch account. Earlier it was claiming you can get free nitro if you invite this bot to your server. I contacted discord report line. I recommend just posting about the bot here and warning your friends. (sorry for the image flood) PROOF:

    Here is something from discord's page on scam/phishing bots:

    "If you receive a Direct Message from a bot offering you something, or asking you to click on a link, disregard it! We have never created a bot designed to offer you free products, so you can safely determine that this is a scam."

    To put it simply: this is a scam just ignore these DM's.
