Let's talk about the new UI.
You've already heard it, but I'm here to ask *again*. The new UI on android is clearly well-intentioned, but whatever shiny new features it has is extremely overshadowed by how difficult it is for seasoned discord veterans to use. It's to the point where I'm seriously considering changing platforms.
First off, who decided *completely switching* where the settings for your status is a good idea? It's on the literal other side of the app, AND now it takes 4 clicks to change my status when I used to be able to do it in 2! Doubling the time you have to spend on a simple, and daily common task, is NOT user friendly. It's almost like you're trying to drive away your loyal users who have been with you since 2018/17 and before.
And the new chat/sidebar swiping? It's clunky, to say the least. I have already complained about how changing the style of the chat bar and removing the plus icon (and replacing it with the camera and image icons) feels like you're trying to remove and trace of uniqueness and make it like every other mobile chat app, but this? Who even complained about the old way?? Change for the sake of change is *not* good developersmanship.
Overall, if you must keep it, *please* add the option to go back to the classic mode. With discord this way it's barely even useable. I am seriously considering going to a different app simply because I can't stand the new UI.
