Discord completely distorts / muffles voice when more than one person is talking at the same time
Alright, ive been googling this issue for weeks now, and i cant find anything. Going a little crazy with this. Pleast let me know if anybody has any ideas.
Voice attenuation is OFF - and i have tried every audio setting but when a friend is talking, if i tap my push to talk then i can no longer hear them. I get some muffled and distorted sound that resembles what they were saying.
The same problem occurs if two other clients (not you) are talking at the same time. Discord picks one of them (usually the wrong one) to come through, and muffles the other. Its impossible to hear what anyone is saying with 3 or 4 people in the same channel.
And as far as i can tell, its not just me. Its everyone using discord and nobody is acknowledging this issue.
To test what im saying have a friend start counting by going "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... etc" out loud, and then press your push to talk, or use voice activation and start to say "a, b, c, d, e, f, g" out loud. Suddenly, your friend counting 1 2 3 becomes a blurred mess and you can no longer hear him. why is this?!?! It does not happen on skype, teamspeak, mumble, any other voice app. only discord.
I swear im not crazy. but there is NOTHING about this anywhere online. I cant hear anyone in discord. Its awful, and its not just me - check out this clip from PKA - they host the podcast on discord. Notice how taylor is talking, and Woody makes a slight sound. Instantly Taylor is muted, and Woody or Kyles mic takes over, and you can see Taylor moving his mouth - but you dont hear him its just quiet distorted muffled sound - link to 1hr 13m https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOzGVmAv5sg&feature=youtu.be&t=4388
